Corporate Gifts as Rewards
Corporate gifts are often used as rewards for great
work by employees from within your company. You can give them out for a
variety of reasons, from closing a big account to outperforming the rest of
the sales staff to simply going above and beyond in a particular situation.
But not every corporate gift makes a great reward.
For example, handing your employees a company pen is not going to make them
feel appreciated, and a briefcase may be nice, but chances are they have one
already. Only some corporate gifts are effective when used as rewards for
employees, so make sure you choose the right ones for your needs.

Awards
While you do not need to purchase a trophy, any
type of expensive desk item makes a great award for hard work. There are a
number of “Crystal Awards” that are great for rewarding outstanding
employees, and the individual can keep it on their desk proudly for everyone
to see, as well as take it home and keep it on their mantle.

Financial Gifts
For the employee that brings a great deal of
revenue to your business, consider something a little more financial. An
employee that manages to close a huge sale should be rewarded with a decent
value gift based on the equivalent value of that deal. Cash is acceptable,
but large gift cards to technology related companies are also effective.
However, if the financial gift is a reward for landing some large amount of
revenue, make sure the gift is fairly large as well. You do not want to give
a gift that pales in comparison to the amount of income generated by the
employee you are supposed to be rewarding.

Gift Baskets
Corporate gift baskets also make effective business
gifts to reward great employees. They are especially useful for simply
acknowledging an employee’s contributions, since they are large and gaudy
but not very expensive compared to the revenue the employee brings to the
company. Gift baskets are nice
for ensuring that the employee gets many things they can enjoy with their
other coworkers or family.
Rewarding Your Employees
Employee morale is one of those tricky parts of a
business that is often overlooked and rarely executed correctly. But
corporate gifts to employees represent excellent rewards that will always be
appreciated and help boost the morale of the entire staff. These rewards
help to show the employees how valuable they are to the company, and give
them the recognition that keeps them working hard.
Awards and cash are going to be the most preferred
items, but corporate gift baskets are also widely appreciated. While you can
also choose to get the individual something more practical, like a
briefcase, etc., they are not as universally effective as all of the
examples above. Unless you have reason to believe that the individual that
is receiving the gift would prefer something different, it is a good idea to
stick with one of the above gift ideas.
